Questions people ask

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Mizan is free and has no ads.

Does it work with dollars?

The new Syrian pound is the base unless you pick another, and you can log dollars or any other currency beside it. Mizan fetches world rates each morning; you set the dollar's rate in pounds when it changes.

Does it work in my country?

Yes. At setup you pick your currency, Turkish lira, euro, or any other, and Mizan counts everything in it.

What if I write an amount in old pounds?

When a number looks like old pounds, the bot asks before it saves anything.

Does it understand voice notes?

Yes. Send a note of up to a minute, and the bot writes what it heard under your message before it saves, so you can check.

Can I photograph a receipt?

Yes. Send the photo to the bot or take it in the app, and Mizan reads each thing with its price and category. When the total does not match, or the amounts look like old pounds, it asks you before it counts them.

Can I pick when the bot's messages come?

Yes. The morning message comes between 6 and 12, the evening recap between 5 and 11 at night. Pick the hour in Settings > Telegram, or turn either one off.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Mizan opens in the browser, and the browser can add it to your home screen. The bot lives in the Telegram you already have.

Who sees my spending?

Only the people you invite to your household. Every member sees the household's entries and numbers.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Go to Settings > Delete account. If you are alone in the household, the household and all its entries go with you.
