Terms of use
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Mizan is a free service run by one person to help households keep their spending in order. These terms say what the service offers and what it asks of you.
The service
- Mizan helps you log spending and income and see what you can spend. It is a counting tool, not financial advice or a bank, and it never moves your money.
- The numbers come from what you and your household log. Check any number that matters before you base a big decision on it.
- Mizan's AI reads messages, voice notes, and receipt photos, and it can misread them. That is why each reply shows what was saved, with undo, and anything unclear waits for your confirm.
Free, and as it is
- The service is free and runs on the free plans of other providers. It can pause for a while, slow down, or change a feature.
- We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never make a mistake.
What we ask of you
- Use Mizan for your own household's accounts, and give true details for your account.
- Do not try to break the service, reach another household's data, or send the bot an unusual flood of messages.
- Keep private details out of your entries, such as card numbers or passwords.
Your data
- The privacy page explains what we keep, where, and who sees it.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
Stopping an account
- If an account harms the service or other users, we may stop it. We try to write to you first.
Changes to these terms
- When the terms change, the date at the top changes. We tell you about a big change in the app or through the bot.
